For a 12 year period I was the national director of a non-profit law enforcement association. For 8 of those years the office was in my home. We regularly received offers for lines of credit. I typically tossed them in the trashcan. We received a call one day from a sharp employee at a local bank who had received a credit app with our info pre-printed on it. It had been taken out of the trash at my home. She recommended that we invest in a shredder or a shredding service. I found that many of the services that come on-site have high-tech crosscut shredders that make it impossible to gain any info off the shredded documents. I really encourage everyone to consider a service like this. One service is Paper Shredding Service
